Carbatec 13" Spiral Head Benchtop Thicknesser

Twenty six (26) precision machined 2-sided High Speed Steel (HSS) blades are fitted to the head as standard and will easily cope with most timbers. Upgrading to the solid Carbide blades mean longer life overall, and worth considering when its time to make a full blade change.  HSS are generally sharper then the carbide blades, but will wear quicker, so working our the right blade for you, is all going to depend on how much work you will be doing, and what timber you're using.

Dual size dust ports of 100mm or 63mm mean either a dust extractor or Shop Vac type vacuum can be used with this machine. If you are opting for the dust collector we recommend a 2HP machine be paired with this thicknesser. The tool compartment has a spot for all the tools required for this machine, so they will never become lost.

Simple front mounted overall depth scale indicates the height of the head in relation to the table underneath, and it's adjustable. Integrated front and centre mounted cutting depth gauge allows dead simple adjustments.  know exactly how much you are cutting, regardless of board thickness or width.

Pre-set final machine stops give this machine yet another edge over our competition! The presets that take you directly to your ultimate desired thickness. These are set at 1/8", 1/4", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 1-3/4" (3.18mm, 6.35mm, 12.7mm, 19.05mm, 25.4mm, 31.75mm, 38.1mm and 44.45mm).  Set, and forget!

Maximum cut depth up to 3mm for up to 151 mm wide and 1.0-1.5 mm up to 330 mm wide (depending on timber).  Less is more, for a finer finish and better wear and tear on your machine.

Dust extraction is required for this machine to remove the build-up of saw dust around the cutter head. The use of a 'shop-vac' or 2HP dust collector is the most effective method.
