Camphor Laurel Round Coffee Table

This beautiful coffee table is made from Northern Rivers Camphor Laurel. The modern edge design of the top mixed with subtle browns to rich red tones add warmth to any living space.

Like the timber itself, the finish is a natural, durable Osmo hardwax oil finished in a Satin sheen. The quality craftsmanship ensures this item will remain the centrepiece of your space for many years to come. A hint of copper epoxy fills a knot hole, providing a subtle touch of class to the piece.

This piece has been designed & handcrafted in Loganholme, Queensland, by Hammer Roo's craftsman. It features a white powdercoated steel base that complements the sleek 650mm round top.

About the Timber:

Camphor Laurel is excellent for creating fine furniture. Its heartwood varies widely in colour from pale to mid brown and is often streaked with darker brown or red. The sapwood is very wide and pale brown. The timber’s grain is usually interlocked with a moderately fine and even texture. All Camphor Laurel wood features the characteristic Camphor smell that repels moths and other insects, making it perfect for clothes storage cabinets. Camphor Laurel also has antibacterial properties prized for use in crafting handsome chopping and carving boards.

The camphor laurel's extraordinary strong dark grain against a yellow base creates distinctive furniture that can never be replicated.
