As an Australian owned and operated company, Hammer Roo Woodworks Pty Ltd ABN 34 658 857 213 (referred to below as Hammer Roo) will always as a minimum adhere to all applicable Australian laws, however, we do strive to provide you with service that exceeds your expectations and are left completely satisfied with your experience.

These Terms & Conditions are supplementary to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Find out more about your rights shopping online or in-store with us by going to ACCC’s website.

We reserve the right to correct any errors published on our website/s.

Credit Card Payments

The Hammer Roo website is Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. Level 1 is the highest level of compliance, meaning that Hammer Roo uses the strictest compliance standards to protect our customers payment details.

When placing your order online your account is debited at the time of placing the order for the full order value as seen in the checkout.

At no time does Hammer Roo receive the full credit card details for your online purchases.

If you order over the phone, Hammer Roo staff will enter your credit card details directly into our processing system where the payment will be processed immediately and no credit card details will be kept on file.

Other Methods of Payment

You are able to select Google Pay, Apply Pay, Direct Deposit, PayPal, Zip-Pay & Afterpay as legitimate payment methods online.

Direct Deposit

If you select direct deposit, we will list the paying bank account details in the check-out process and this is also included in the email confirmation that is sent to you once the order has been finalized online. Hammer Roo will ship the order once payment has cleared in our bank account (please note this may take a few days depending on the bank). Please ensure that you use your order ID as a reference so we can match your payment when it is received in our bank.

PayPal

If you are paying by PayPal then the payment is governed by PayPal's terms and conditions of buying online. PayPal offer leading consumer protection for payments. We receive immediate notification of a successful PayPal payment being made as soon as it is completed by you with PayPal so we will dispatch your order as soon as we are able after the order has come through to us.

Prices
All online prices are correct at the time of ordering. Any prices quoted over the phone will be correct at the time of ordering. If we discover any price discrepancy after you have placed your order over the phone that we cannot honour, you will be contacted to confirm the price change before shipping your order. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors as they are discovered. Prices shown on the Hammer Roo website are in Australian dollars (for HammerRoo.com.au / HammerRoo.au sites) or in New Zealand dollars (for HammerRoo.co.nz) and include GST where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Availability
Generally all items that are advertised on the website are either in stock or able to be sourced within a short period of time (1-2 working days). If any items are expected to be out of stock for an extended period of time, we will clearly mark this on the website. Please refer to our special order/non-stocked item terms & conditions for more information.

Specifications
We aim to provide the most accurate measurements and specifications possible. We take all care to ensure that information is accurate however take no responsibility of suitability of product for the customers needs. See suitability header below.

Unless otherwise stated, any items or accessories shown in any image with the main product is deemed to be accessories or props and are not included in the sale price of the main item.

Suitability
You must ensure the suitability of the product for its intended use before purchasing any product from Hammer Roo. While Hammer Roo can offer advice and demonstrate how a product is used, it remains your responsibility to ensure the correct use of the product.

Hammer Roo cannot be held liable for any damage or loss to persons or property resulting from inadequate training necessary for the use of any product. It is your responsibility to ensure that you possess the necessary skills and capabilities to operate any products purchased from Hammer Roo.

Additionally, it is your responsibility as the customer to ensure that you have an adequate and properly connected electrical supply capable of operating the machine(s) you intend to purchase. Any warranty claim will be denied if extension cords and/or power boards are determined to have contributed to the failure of any electrical or electronic component of the machine. The same exclusion applies if the machine is connected to incorrect voltage and/or amperage not designated for the machine, or if the machine is used for purposes other than its intended design and function.

Warning
Woodworking machines and tools are potentially dangerous. The user of the products should take every precaution while using the products to avoid personal injury and/or property damage. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of personal protective equipment, electrical safety precautions, inhaling dust particles. Items are used at your own risk.

Zero Tolerance of Aggression and Threats

Hammer Roo is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for our employees and a welcoming environment for our customers.

Any behavior, whether verbal or physical, that causes discomfort, embarrassment, or threatens the safety of our staff or customers is completely unacceptable.

Our Zero Tolerance policy encompasses aggression or threats made in person, over the telephone, online, or in written communication. Hammer Roo defines threatening behavior as:

  • Attempted or actual aggressive physical actions directed towards any staff member or customer.
  • The use of aggressive, threatening, or abusive language (including shouting, swearing, or cursing) that intimidates or threatens staff or customers.

In the event of aggression or threats being made via phone the call will be terminated and the number will be blacklisted by Hammer Roo. If via email the email address used will be added to a blocked list.

Any instance or threat of physical abuse will be immediately reported to the police

If in store, the individual responsible will be escorted off the premises by police.

Subsequently, the customer will be removed from our records and prohibited from future transactions with Hammer Roo. Online violations of this policy will result in the customer being blocked and banned from all Hammer Roo social media platforms.

This policy applies to all areas of our premises and extends to any employee or partner representing Hammer Roo away from the physical store (including online), as far as it pertains to business interactions.
