Festool  |  SKU: 576416
$2,04500

Description

The DOMINO system unites the precision of a round dowel with the flexibility of a traditional flat dowel – the perfect solution for panel joints. The system consists of the DF 500 dowel jointer, DOMINOs in different sizes and a wide range of accessories for special applications. The result: extremely strong, invisible joints. And DOMINO can do much more: rack joints, frame joints, drawer joints, etc.

Main Applications

  • Furniture manufacture
  • Shopfitting/Interior fitting
  • Window construction
  • Exhibition stand construction
  • For panel joins
  • For frame and rack joints
A system that joins everything up

The DOMINO DF 500 is particularly easy to handle and offers almost unlimited jointing possibilities. No matter whether it is panel or cabinet construction, for lightweight frame or rack joints – the DF 500 impresses with maximum precision, flexibility and simple handling.

Pendulum cutting principle

Unique among manual machines and patented by Festool: The DOMINO DF 500 jointer routing motion. The simultaneous rotating and pendulum movement of the router allows smooth working and holes without scorch marks. Thanks to the pendulum motion, the routers do not overheat, leading to an extremely long tool life.

Innovative stop system

One of the main time-based advantages of working with the DOMINO DF 500 jointers arises from working without complicated measuring or marking – with the DOMINO DF 500, the fast and precise positioning is quite simple thanks to the stop catches.

Save time when using the same cutting depth over and over again

For great flexibility and precision: You select your required routing depth using the detent lever lock. The options are 12 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm and 28 mm.

Maximum stability

The special shape of the DOMINO in combination with expanding glue pockets and lateral longitudinal grooves gives the dowels a secure grip. You can use the Festool DOMINO DF 500 joining machine to process DOMINOs up to 10 x 50 mm in size. Also available as individually adjustable rods.

Works every time

Precision mitre routing using presettings or infinitely variable routing angle adjustment.

Ideal for drawer joints

Even thin workpieces from 12 mm can be easily connected – ideal for the sides of drawers.

For inside and out

DOMINOs are available in two materials: Beech for interior applications and weatherproof, insect- and mould-resistant sipo DOMINOs for outdoor applications.

100% rotation-proof

Right from the first DOMINO the joints are completely secured against rotation – without aligning the workpieces.

Working with extraction

Larger quantities of chips are created when working with the DOMINO DF 500 jointers. To improve chip removal out of the routed hole during routing, as well as to protect your health, we recommend always working with a dust extraction system.

DOMINO system accessories

Accurate joining of round and square timbers, as well as for repeat hole spacing too: Compatible as a system accessory for the DOMINO XL and DOMINO DF 500.

Carrier Information

  • We use a variety of freight carriers including, but not limited to: Australia Post, Direct Freight, TNT, Couriers Please, Mainfreight & Team Global Express (formerly Toll).
  • The freight carrier will be chosen by Hammer Roo based on parcel size, weight & receiving location. If you do not wish to have a certain carrier, please add this to the order notes and we will accommodate if possible.
  • While we endeavor to provide the postage option chosen at cart, sometimes this is not possible due to factors including; weight restrictions, physical size restrictions & location. We will endeavor to provide a similar service where possible eg. Australia Post Express may be replaced with TNT Express for larger items.
  • Please note the maximum package length that can be sent through Australia Post is 105cm and the maximum weight is 22kg. Anything over these dimensions will be sent via courier. If the parcel is outside these dimensions the parcel cannot be delivered to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers.
  • All items over 30kg needing a tailgate will be flagged on the product page & we will contact you to arrange a quote. For more information on the Tailgate Drop Fee please read below.

Insurance - Covering Loss/Damage In Transit

  • All freight companies used by Hammer Roo are general carriers and therefore do not cover damage or loss of goods in transit. Hammer Roo offers a simple insurance option, that is calculated at 2% of the value of goods (starting at $0.75), your order will be insured against damage and/or loss in transit.
  • We offer insurance on our website as an Opt-Out option for orders up to $5000 in value. In other words, it is automatically included. The only way it cannot be included is if you specifically untick the Insurance checkbox. This is your tacit agreement that you choose not to insure the goods and are taking risk with any issues that arise during the shipment of your order once it leaves Hammer Roo.
  • If you do not accept the insurance charge, you will do so at your own risk and any damage and/or loss is your responsibility. In all cases, we HIGHLY recommend the optional protection of insurance.

Optional Insurance Will Cover:

  • Damage from point of dispatch to point of delivery
  • Lost In Transit from point of dispatch to point of delivery

Optional Insurance Will Not Cover:

  • Items stolen from delivery address after carrier has successfully delivered the package.
  • Items labeled as Authority To Leave

Authority To Leave

  • If you want to have your order left at your address even if you are not home you can request Authority To Leave in the order notes during check out. If you request this option;
    • You are accepting responsibility for delivery of the item once it leaves the warehouse.
    • We assume a delivery has been made if the courier reports that the item has been delivered.
    • Non-delivery/Theft claims by customers will not be accepted if the carrier confirms delivery has been made even if optional insurance is purchased.

Tailgate Drop Fees

  • Any single product carton that weighs over 30kg must be shipped on a skid or pallet.
  • If a product is over 30kg you can:
    • Pick it up from the closest courier depot. Please advise us that you would like to choose this option, and when it arrives at the courier's depot they will be in touch to advise you it is ready for pick up. They will also set out any terms and conditions for the pick-up. It will be loaded via forklift so having an appropriate vehicle or trailer to allow this to happen is your requirement.
    • Pay a tailgate drop fee. This will mean that the truck arriving to deliver the goods will have a hydraulic tailgate that will safely set the skid on the ground with a manual pallet truck to move the skid to a reasonable position on the property so that it is deemed to be safely delivered. Tailgate drop fees vary based on carrier (usually $65-$90), please contact us for an accurate quote.
  • If your consignment fits the above criteria we will contact you prior to dispatch to confirm your preferred method and collect the tailgate drop fee if you choose that option for your delivery.

Manual Handling Surcharge (Overlength/Oversized Items)

  • Any item once packaged that measures over 1.2m, weighs over 30kg or cannot pass through automatic freight sortation machines and must be handled manually by freight companies.
  • For items 1.2 - 1.8m long there is a surcharge of $16.50 and for items 1.8m and longer there is a surcharge of $83.50 charged by the freight company to manually handle this freight.
  • Hammer Roo passes this charge on at cost. If you choose the In Store Pickup option there is no extra charge on your order for handling these items.

Return To Sender

  • If an unsuccessful attempt is made to deliver a parcel or parcel is uncollected within the carriers specified time-frame & the carrier returns the parcel to sender the customer will be responsible for re-delivery & return to sender charges.
  • These charges vary depending on carrier & location. Should the customer not make contact regarding the parcel after 3 months from returned date, the parcel will be classed as abandoned & discarded.
